Upset Forging Parallel Thread System 

With the emergence of high-rise building, large-span space and special structures, the application of building rebar is developed towards big diameter, dense and high strength. The traditional rebar splicing technology such as welding and lapped splicing can not meet the requirements commendably in strength and saving cost. In this condition, as a new rebar connection technology, parallel thread connection technology, especially the upset forging parallel thread connection technology is now more and more adopted in projects.

As an important parallel thread connection technology, the upset forging parallel thread connection technology posses following advantage:

1, Wide working range: adaptable for Φ12mm-Φ50mm same diameter, different diameter,

bending, new and old, advance covered up rebar of GB 1499, BS 4449, ASTM A615 or ASTM A706 standard.

2, High strength: stronger than the reinforcement bar and guarantees bar break under tensile stress(tensile strength of bar joint =1.1 times of bar’s specified tensile strength). It can satisfy the requirements stipulated in the Chinese standard JGJ107-2003, JG171-2005.

 3, High efficiency: upset forging and threading one joint only needs no more than one minute, and handy operation and quick link.

4, Environmental protection and economy profit: no environment pollution, can work all day, not affected by weather, economize energy source and bar material

Remarks:

According to Chinese standard GB 1499.2-2007,

for rebar HRB400:Tensile strength≥540Mpa,Yeild strength≥400Mpa;

for rebar HRB500:Tensile strength≥630Mpa,Yeild strength≥500Mpa.

Working principle:

1,First,we use Upset Forging Parallel Thread Machine (GD-150 Machine) to forge the end of rebar.

2,Second we use Parallel Thread Cutting Machine (GZ-45 Machine) to thread the ends of the rebar which have been forged.

3.Third,a coupler is used to link the two ends of rebar in parallel thread.

The upset forging parallel thread connection technology can not only be used for the connection of HRB400,but also for other rebar, such as HRB500,those of whose tensile strength is higher than 700Mpa and so on.
